Barbara has the overall responsibility for establishing the mission, vision and strategy of the organization while driving execution and creating best practices for STG operations. She oversees the performance management of each business practice in addition to managing a global network of IT professionals.
Prior to founding the Spencer Thomas Group, she held various positions in the IT industry with Intel and the Sun Microsystems value-added reseller Bridge Information Systems (now a part of Reuters Group) in New York City. In addition to her IT background, she also has 20 years of experience in media sales focused primarily in the areas of global technology, defense, telecommunications and issue/advocacy. As a consistent top-producing account manager with award winning WTOP News Radio in Washington, DC, she drove major account sales to Fortune 500 companies. The National Journal reported on one of her advertising campaigns featuring nationally syndicated talk show host Don Imus of the Imus in the Morning Show. In 2008, she founded Metrics Media a full-service media buying firm.
Barbara also serves on the regional advisory board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of New Hampshire and on the development committee for the seacoast region. She graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration from Northeastern University in Boston, MA.
